Camping in Crémieu in the heart of this magnificent village

Camping “A la ferme des Epinettes” is located 4 kms from the medieval city of Crémieu surrounded by ramparts and overlooked by its castles, is famous for its medieval architecture and its famous 15th century Hall covered with lauze which hosts the market every Wednesday morning but also throughout the year many cultural or craft events such as the antiquity fair, craft fair, wine fair, turkey fair.

Every second weekend in September, takes place throughout the city, a medieval festivalof great reputation for its diversity and quality thanks to the dedication of volunteers. Walking through the narrow streets steeped in history, you can discover a number of small and varied restaurants that will delight your taste buds.
For beer lovers, you can taste our local beer after visiting the Ursulines brewery. Mineralogy enthusiasts can visit the Minerals Museum at the exit of Crémieu. The municipality of Crémieu is currently competing to be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can also shop for local products and Farmers’ Flavours, sold by the farmers themselves.

In the commune of St romain de Jalionas, 200 metres from the campsite, there is the archaeological site of Le Vernai where excavations, still in progress, have revealed a remarkable Gallo-Roman villa. Not far (8 km) is a limestone plateau overlooking the Rhône, “the Larina plateau” testify to many Neolithic remains.

The surrounding countryside offers you many walks or hikes, making you discover the fauna and flora of the Dauphiné balcony basin.
